Call Alabama Heavy Mechanical LLC now for honest, fast service that cuts downtime and keeps jobs moving.
We clear, grade, and ready your land for a safer, faster, and more efficient construction start.
We start with a call and on-site walkthrough to review access, drainage, grading goals, utilities, clearing needs, and haul-off. Then we give you a clear scope, realistic timeline, and honest estimate so you know exactly what your site needs before work begins.
Once approved, we schedule the job and mobilize the right equipment for land clearing, demolition, trenching, hauling, and rough grading as needed. We strip debris, remove obstacles, and shape the pad for proper drainage and safe construction access, usually within a few days depending on site conditions.
Before we wrap up, we fine grade the site, check elevations, and inspect the work area for stability, drainage flow, and readiness for the next trade. We walk the site with you, answer questions, and make sure the ground is clean, build-ready, and completed to the agreed plan.
At Alabama Heavy Mechanical LLC, we know a good build starts with good ground. Site preparation is the first step that sets the tone for everything that comes after. If the land is not cleared, graded, and prepared the right way, you can run into drainage problems, soft spots, access issues, delays, and added costs later. We help property owners, contractors, and developers get their sites ready for a safe, smooth, and efficient construction start.
We are an owner-operated company based in Jasper, Alabama, and we serve jobs throughout a 60 to 80 mile radius, including Birmingham, Cullman, Jasper, and nearby areas, with plans to continue expanding across West Alabama. Since 2022, we have built our reputation on honest work, clear communication, and quality results. We are straightforward with customers. If we can do the job right, we will tell you. If something is outside our scope, we will tell you that too. That kind of honesty matters when you are trusting someone with the condition of your land and the start of your project.
Site preparation is the process of getting raw or uneven land ready for construction, utility work, access roads, pads, driveways, drainage improvements, and other development. Every property is different, so we tailor the work to the land conditions, the project goals, and the needs of the customer.
Our site preparation services can include:
Many problems on a project can be traced back to poor site prep. If the grade is off, water can collect where it should not. If the pad is not prepared correctly, it can affect the structure built on top of it. If the site is not cleared well, contractors lose time trying to work around debris, unstable ground, or bad access. We focus on creating a clean, workable site that helps the next phase of construction move faster and with fewer surprises.
Proper site preparation can help with:
We take a practical, hands-on approach to excavation and site work. Before we start, we look at the property layout, grade, access, visible drainage patterns, and the scope of the planned project. Then we create a clear plan for clearing, grading, and shaping the site so it is ready for the next crew or next step.
Because we are a small, owner-operated company, you get direct communication and personal attention on the job. We do not believe in overpromising. We believe in showing up, doing solid work, and being honest about what the site needs. That matters on excavation jobs, where details in the ground can affect time, cost, and performance.
Site preparation can be used for many different kinds of residential, agricultural, commercial, and light industrial projects. We work with customers who need land ready for new construction or improvements that require proper grading and excavation.
Common site prep projects include:
Site prep is not just about moving dirt. It is about preparing the property with the full job in mind. We look at how water will move across the site, how equipment will enter and exit, where structures will sit, and how the finished grade needs to support the project. That broader view helps us deliver work that supports the next phase instead of creating problems for it.
Whether you need a building pad cut in, a lot cleaned up and leveled, or general excavation services to get a job moving, we bring the same focus to every project: quality work, safe practices, and honest service.
Customers choose us because we are easy to deal with and honest about the work. We are not here to be the cheapest bid on every job. We are here to provide value through dependable service, straightforward answers, and workmanship you can trust. As a company founded in 2022 with a small dedicated crew, we stay involved in the details and take pride in every completed job.
We also bring experience from heavy equipment maintenance and excavation services, which gives us a practical understanding of job site conditions, machine performance, and what it takes to keep a project moving. That background helps us work efficiently and spot issues that can affect construction starts.
